Case Study

Project Details

EssayBySumedha needed an ecommerce experience that could present made-to-order Indian fashion with clarity, elegance, and global shopping confidence. For a fashion label selling festive wear, resort wear, kurta sets, ruffle sarees, cape sets, lehengas, kaftans, dresses, tops, and co-ords, the website had to balance visual storytelling with a smooth buying journey.

The website was structured to support curated collection browsing, international currency display, wishlist functionality, product filtering, sale visibility, WhatsApp-led customisation, size selection, return communication, and worldwide shipping.

Challenge

Fashion ecommerce becomes more complex when products are made to order and customers are shopping across different countries. Buyers need to understand the collection, fabric, size options, customisation process, shipping terms, return policy, and occasion relevance before they feel confident enough to purchase.

The challenge was to create an ecommerce experience where discovery, aspiration, product clarity, customisation support, and checkout confidence worked together without making the website feel heavy or confusing.

Strategy

Our strategy was to build the website as a curated fashion commerce platform, not just a product catalogue. The experience was shaped around collection-led discovery, occasion-led shopping, and conversion-focused ecommerce features.

The website introduced customers to seasonal edits such as Holiday Edit, Festive Edit, and Wedding Edit, while also giving them direct paths into collections like Tarini, Pakhi, Saanjh, Seher, Roshnara, Adira, and Bloom. We shaped the store around three commercial priorities:

Build Desire

Create a premium boutique-style experience through collection-led storytelling, strong product imagery, curated edits, and handpicked fashion discovery.

Simplify Discovery

Organise the store across festive wear, resort wear, collections, sale, size filters, colour filters, price filters, and product-type filters for easier shopping.

Support Conversion

Strengthen purchase confidence with wishlist, WhatsApp customisation, international currency, worldwide shipping, return messaging, and clear cart movement.

Commerce Experience

The ecommerce website gave EssayBySumedha a stronger digital selling system for Indian fashion across local and international markets. The shopping experience was designed to help users browse by collection, occasion, category, size, colour, price, and availability.

Every section was planned to make fashion discovery feel curated while keeping the purchase journey direct, mobile-friendly, and conversion-ready.

Mobile First Buying

A clean mobile shopping flow built for quick browsing, smooth category movement, wishlist saving, WhatsApp support, and easy cart access.

Curated Fashion Journey

Holiday Edit, Festive Edit, Wedding Edit, and collection-led navigation help customers discover outfits by mood, occasion, and style preference.

Global Checkout Support

Worldwide shipping, international currency display, return communication, size options, sale pricing, and customisation support strengthen buying confidence.

Impact

For EssayBySumedha, we developed more than an ecommerce website. We created a conversion-focused fashion commerce experience that brings together premium storytelling, curated product discovery, made-to-order customisation, and global shopping support.

The new website helps the brand present its festive and resort collections with stronger clarity while making the path from inspiration to purchase smoother, faster, and more confident.
